Ladies of Liberty 2003 Calendar
BetteRose Ryan of Victory in Colorado Now led the effort to produce the "Ladies for Liberty 2003 Calendar." 20 Colorado Libertarian women volunteered to pose for photographs. Each month features a different theme.
For example, the first month (September 2002) features Amber in front of a bookcase. The text reads, "We trust you to choose what literature or other media you want to enjoy. Libertarians fully support the First Amendment and oppose all government banning of books and the creating of 'reading lists' by government agencies." Other themes include private investment, the right to bear arms, and the presumption of innocence.
The calendar also lists interesting historical tidbits (some good, some bad, some just strange) on specific days. June 12 lists a victory from 1967: "Supreme Court unanimously ends laws against interracial marriages."
